thanks! still gotta do drive side. i felt bad hacking up some real smileys haha but its so worth it! So far im in about 350bux on my light set up, thats smileys , 55w ballast d2z bulbs adapters and the FX-R's cant wait to see tonight!

yeah i would have done it like the first link but i wanted the light to look oem. Only issue with the fxr is the housing is big and i had to cut ALOT. the mini h1's are nice but dont project as far as the fx-r's or fx35. lol ive been stuck on HP the past month now. i went ahead and got cheapo ddm d2z bulbs , im looking for some Phillips but they can wait since they cost about 70 a pair. So my set up now is , New FX-R (non modded shield) DDM 5k d2x bulbs with 55w ballast. i tested the bulbs earlier the light output is yellowish but they will color shift after a few hours.

i am , i took pic last week off my phone to post up in hidplanet.com E30 elipsoids are not hid projectors thats why they suck lol I took more pixs today for a small DIY or retro thingy.

I'm sold on the morimotos. Plus i already have an h1 hid kit so no extra hid bulbs to buy. And the best part is that its 100% reversible. Going to grab the back halves of some busted U.S. projectors from the yard and go to town. Should cost about $140 otd.

ebay , hidplanet.com OEM hid bulbs. i would have gotten them but didnt wanna wait for ppl to ship them. But now that I have the adapters i can just wait to find some Phillips 5k bulbs :D

i allmost got a set of those , someone had some up for 60 shipped but they got sold fast. i found the fxr's on ebay for half the price new so i couldnt pass them up. plus i got the 1st gen fxr
s ive read they are better than 2nd gens , better cut off etc etc.

Yours will most likely have a better pattern and a wider area. But after looking at all those threads i could not tear up my brand new, never used, hella smoked smileys.

You should buy these Ben. As spares. Too cheap to pass up on. Then you'll have a complete set to sell.
