Geometry for one. The strut mounts are located different then a standard e30. I'm sure the total length of the strut assembly is not shorter either. They just move up the strut insert starting position to accommodate the drive line components.
And besides if can't measure or cut a straight line you should not be attempting to do this in the first place and probably not know how to weld either.

I wish shipping were that cheap. Its more like $120 using that method to ship light wheels using ups ground. USPS parcel post was $100. To get free boxes go to your local wheel shop and ask them for some. Otherwise I have some wheel packaging stuff from the wheels and tires I just received from tirerack.

Tahoe had no damage since I hit the tow hitch the whole front of mine was destroyed. Euro grills, ellips, nice mint valance new bumper and both fenders and the radiator was pushed in and core support was bent. Either I part it or fix it

But will probably not buy another e30.
But don't know whether to fix t or not. I would just need all the stuff that wasdamaged.

                                This sucks.
Brian just had a similar experience with a Honda. What a bummer, if you decide to fix it I have a couple of core supports already cut out of the car. If you decide to fix it and need one let me know. We were able to straighten out Brian's core support and then replaced the body parts as needed. It was not that expensive and took only a couple of days.

                                Cheers,
