It's been a while but don't they automatically tow your car to a towyard after an accident and it isn't driveable?

My concern was the amount of fees he's going to have to pay.

Strange, if you get into a wreck (and cannot drive the car away) in Torrance...the police subcontracted tow company (Van Lingen) automatically tows your car to their yard and you are at their mercy. They charge whatever they want it seems. I think they hold it for 48 hours or something and then you have the option to go and get it before accruing more storage fees. I believe Shant is in the same business, maybe he can chime in.

it's hard to be in a rational mind after a serious accident. if someone tells you the procedure is a certain way, you're more than likely going to go along with it.

I think the cost was higher to take it to his house at the moment. And I'm sure he didn't think it would be there for as long as it was. Im sure Ayman can clarify though.

I could've taken it to my place but I was financially unable to have that done.

exactly, I just didn't have enough money at the moment.

Thanks mike, you're right. Honestly didn't know what the fuck was going on til the morning after.

Now I'm home but the car's stuck in an awkward position. The truck was too big to fit in my garage so now I'm waiting for a smaller truck to park it for me in my spot. The wheel on the side that got hit doesn't spin so I can't even push it in.

That looks like an excuse for the state to get more money from you. Poopy situation. If my truck was up and running I'd just move it for you!!!!

It cost me $530 to get Brian's car home after the accident which he could not drive away from. That was towing to the yard and then to my house.

                    Cheers,

                    Jim

ayman, get a breaker bar or something of the like, and pull away the fender so you can push the car in. unless there is some unforeseen damage that i can't see causing the wheel to not move. sucks you gotta get raped by towing fees and state fees. it's not like it's even your fault. also, how's the insurance claim coming along?

So I went in early to BFest, ended up on the opposite of the e30 corral. Was busy as hell trying to sell some shirts and hoodies, and didn't even have time to check out anyone's rides.
Anyways, with that said I could only find 1 pic of my ride, :( did anybody see any good shots of my WIP around the net by any chance? If you have any, please pm me with them.

Thank you and advance and thanks to all of the guys who stopped by to say hi.

                            Fucking tow companies are crooks.

Thats why you guys should have AAA if you don't have full coverage. So worth it. You'll get all your money back for towing and storage from the other persons insurance. Have you asked them for a rental car yet? How about loss of use since your too young for a rental? As far as the games they are trying to play ask to speak to a manager. Tell them "I understand your just trying to mitigate your companies exposure for the claim but I'd have no qualms about taking your insured to small claims court and easily win reimbursement for my damages including loss of use. A left hand turn in front of on coming traffic is a pretty open/shut case. Aren't you supposed to protect your insured from situations like that? That would make me want to switch carriers if i were insured by your company." Also they should have presented you with a value for the car already as well.
