No, since I'm not at that point in my life yet, but I have had friends who have done that. They had a steady income out of college from a high paying job and were able to go that route.

i'm sorry, but i'm going to have to call bullshit. one or more of your facts are wrong, most likely they've had some sort of credit building if they're college students that actually got a decent job after graduation. credit is absolutely vital to something like a mortgage or other large financing.

earning potential means very little in the long term to a lender, considering the current job market.
