Special smogs are really not a PITA at all. As mentioned it's every 2 years, big deal. I drop off the VIN, make, model, and mileage to my guy and it's done within a week.

Call around, I've had success with mexicalli, but forgot the price.

place down here in OC charged me $60 to put the tires on my rims and mount them to my car. It was another $80 to align them. I didnt think that was bad.
