Long story short, it took me about 1 hour to replace and have not had any problems at all.

Get it done guys, replace those pesky window scissors. (that's what I call them, since the regulator has the motor) they are 2 separate pieces. The haedest part is aligning the window correctly. :)
Nooooooooo you have to replace the whole arm??? I thought you can just buy the roller ):

        Buys techno auto e36

It was bound to happen lol

Congrats, I've driven an auto m3 and did not enjoy it one bit. Wouldn't mind owning a black one though.
Hey I like the techno violet though, I think an e36 m3 would make a great daily driver, not an auto though

Yes, unless you have a tool to rivet those little freakin wheels into place, replacement of the whole arm is the easiest way to go.
Another thing to notice while you're in there, is the amount of old, caked up grease that needs to be cleaned and lubed again.

I know my friend, it's not for somene with short fuses., I would offer my help but you're about 40 miles from my place.

I once got a washer and a bolt with a single use nut, drilled the rivet out and it worked, but it was only 1.

Do i need to bring up a comparison of Prices on Craigslist? A Vert like the one I had would sell for 6k+ right now as opposed to around $2k I paid for mine back in the day.

And there is a HIPSTER TAX on most e30s right now. I refuse to buy another one until the prices go down. Way above bluebook. Lol

Ty. But it's still an M3. More potential then my vert had and I manual swapped that. The "free e30" I got was a problem from the start. Besides I still live at home and my parents wanted it gone so I really had no choice.

I give him 3months before he starts bitching about the ///M tax.

Just cuz theres shitty cars in craigslist for 6k doesn't mean u could sell ur vert for that much, not sure i woulda even offered 800 bucks for it, but thats just me

Bluebook wise yes, but as mentioned, people want insane $$$ for these cars right now since they are the new thing. Hell at the Tacos N Tuners meet I go to, like 1/2 of the e30's owners there are just hipsters.

True, I know my car wasn't worth 6k, but if I had sold it before the crash I bet I could have at least got 4k for the car. Look at Lugo trying to get like 10k for his car last year.

Case and point, not worth it to buy right now in this market unless you find a car that has been grandma driven and you can get for the proper price. I bought into e36's while the market is cheap. Besides, there are more parts available from the factory for the e36 then the e30 right now.

Also... I'm keeping some of my e30 stuff so when I do get another one down the road, I'll be set to build it. And when I do get another e30... it's more then likely going to be an M3 or maybe another vert. I'm going to have to see how the market plays out the next few years, but I am confident in my decision on getting the e36 M3. Sure maintenance might be a bit more then an e30, but it's a fun car even though it's automagic. Besides I have the option of manual swapping the e36 like I did with my e30 or upgrade to the e46 6-speed trans if I have some money to spend.

TLDR version... I will get another e30 in the future, but for the price, I could not pass up on this opportunity.

the moneybags are looking for late model coupes, not early model verts.

either way, i think you scored a good deal.
