I just took the M3 for a ride because I thought that the rear caliper was sticking. I took the temp of the rotors after going 65 mph for 15 minutes and they were at 120 degrees then a did a few hard stops and rode the brakes for about 1/4 of a mile and they got up to 270 degrees except for one that was at 330 degrees. Not sure what it all means but it sure was fun stoping fast. :D All ready for SoCal Vintage.

Thanks, did that and they worked just fine also adjusted the e-brake while I was there. It's ok but not perfect.... yet. I smelled hot brakes when I got the car home the other day and checking the teimp of the rotors is something I had not thought of doing before. Not too accurate, as you scan different parts of the rotor the temp can change by 10 degrees. I am pretty sure that my soft pedal is due to air in the ABS so I am working on the shop solution to that. The real brake guys can cycle the ABS to bleed the old fluid. This would also help if any air got into the ABS during a master cylinder change.
Cheers,
Jim

He should be fine then. I thought he just changed the gas and that's it.
