    Shop Engine Rebuild

Posted this in southwest without thinking..prob get better responses here.

My 325i is somewhere upwards of 260k on it (odo broke at 203k in 2007).
I'm looking for a shop to perform a complete rebuild on the top and bottom end in the So Cal area. Car is currently at my parents house in San Diego, and I now live in Temecula. Would prefer a shop located between the two..as the car may need to be towed in.

Anyone have any experience, reviews, advice on who to bring my baby to?
And I'm almost afraid to ask, but what should I expect to pay for a complete top to bottom rebuild(stock parts..no crazy internal work or anything)?

Anyone who works at a shop, feel free to PM me some ballpark quotes.

    TIA

Just buy a low mileage s50 for the price of getting an engine rebuilt properly. If you're set on rebuilding and m20, Robert Calhoun at e30motorwerks does outstanding engine work. He can also get your stock rods milled and balance, crank micro polished as well as enlarging your oil journals, and a couple of other things while he's in there. Ive personally seen some of his work and I was impressed.

Castros in noho. They are building my turbo motor.

Same here bro. Castro's all the way. They just did my turbo kit and other goodies but they do it all.

I don't know castro's, but I can vouch for e30motorwerks. Robert built my 3L turbo m20 block. He got to have fun with the spirolocks for the wrist pins and Teflon IJ crank scraper. He has several build threads on the other forum.
