I think im gonna start with a US s50 to start, get that all done legally and then swap the evo motor in, a year or so later.

im sick and tired to my m20 chattering

You could do that and I doubt you'd have any issue as far as getting pulled over.

Not sure how it would do in the smog department.

I'd just go with an S54. It is possible to BAR one of those, it is not with a euro S50B32.

Euro S50B30 on the other hand IS slightly more possible, because 1) was OBD1, 2) sold in canada.

Too much effort though. Just get the car 'smogged'

I'd wait for a better deal. My buddy always hits me up after he finds an s50 for sub $1300.. Just be patient.

and actually if you're looking to just get that bar sticker so you can swap in the euro afterwards, I'd just throw in an m50 which would be the cheapest temporary option. There's no point of temporarily putting in a US s50 for the "looks" of a euro one if the m50 looks identical to it (us s50).. Just my .02

andd I'm hoping on getting my car bard relatively soon. Probably going to get the car sniffed at a buddies shop beforehand to see how emissions look..

Be really cautious. I've gotten a few too many strikes on my lol-worthy m42.

Just do s54. You will be happy in the end.
