Probably your si board batteries

from my experience, the gauge itself often sharts. Bad sender will make it bounce all over

I think the gauge itself is good and when I tested the si board the batteries still had voltage and the resistance was right. It bounces all over so I'm thinkin sender. The si lights are on when the key is in position 3 then when I turn em on they're not lit. Does that mean my board is bad?

A Meyle cap is $7 new from BMA. OEM part number is 17111742232.

are the caps the same size? i have a early model tank just sitting here collecting dust

Early and late use different pressure caps. Best to use the correct one.
