Not sure what you are trying to build, but I would start here, get a M52 crank (or S52 if you want to get really crazy) and do a full rebuild

Might as well grab the free block and start. The crank is around $300 last I checked, and thats how much I sold mine for back in '13.

Can grab oversized pistons too and make it a monster. look at digger's build thread. Guy made a monster. Another local just sold his E30 not too long ago with a M20B32
