That nut can be a pain to remove. Found a thin and deep enough socket at ACE hardware.

update:
Found a guy in San Mateo.. really knowledgeable and very reasonable on the price. Quoted me 400$ to resurface the head and transfer the stock cam with a bigger cam (288 schrick) Also got some "Bavauto" headers being made right now. Going to take off the head this weekend, as well as the intake manifold, change all the gaskets, and hopefully in the next couple weeks ill have enough funds to have it all done. wish me luck.sigpicComment

the stock bottom end will hold together under low boost pretty ok. Of course, forged stuff will be nicer, but it's priced pretty high, and easy to get into a while-you're-in-there.
M30 is a much more practical low cost power option. There are several motor mount manufacturers out there right now, and that's really the only hard part. Get a B35!

Which guy in San Mateo? If he's the same one I'm thinking of, he's done some work for us before and has always satisfied.
I know pal i been reading and trolling this site since 2009 lol this is my 4th e30 but i rather hear it with some one that's maybe tried it thats why i asked lol
And very helpfull info above sir! I guess maybee i will just stick to my m20 after all..... I hope its just some random BS if not i sould just jump on this puppY!
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/pts/3672603439.html ps this is more sex to my eyes then a m50! But 400 is a good deal tho! lolYour signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Dude buy mine for $50 and build it up. It's already pulled and is honestly a great starting place for an engine. The first car I ever rode in was an e30
