I like the look of the 225/45s on those style 5s. Got the specs on your setup? Im assuming its a square setup. I think these will be my first wheel purchase to upgrade from the weaves and stock iS springs after my 5-speed swap
Frankly, I like the car too :)Comment

Honestly anyone who runs 17 inch wheels on an e30 is dumb. Either the tires rub horribly, or they don't have enough sidewall to protect the wheel its self. I had 17x8.5s on my car when I got it, all 4 wheels were bent, and one was cracked. That was running a horribly stretched 215/40/17 tire. Those were the first thing to go. The 225/45/15s work so much better, more grip, nothing rubs and I have some sidewall (not much mind you) to help keep the wheels true.
I could be talked into a set of 16s, but they would have to be the right wheels. Tire selection however is very limited.
I just fail to see a reason to buy a set of wheels that will either be screwed up to start with or will be screwed up in the near future just for a look (and a goofy Hot Wheels one at that) :loco: Not a single person here has a real E30 M3 DTM or WTCC car that ran 18s and had suspension (The pickup points and other areas under the fenders are different on the DTM cars over the street cars.) and bodywork to clear them. The noise a rubbing tire makes is horribly bad not to mention big wheels make the car slower. People already say E30s are slow, so they go and make them slower by hanging big heavy wheels off all four corners. It also makes the brakes less efficient. :giggle: You want less rotational and unsprung weight not more to make the car go faster.

While those wheels and tires do look good, those aren't style 5 wheels. Style 5s only come in a 17 inch wheel.
These are style 5s (I'm pretty sure.)

Raises hand. im running 215/40/17 on my M3 and eventually will get 235/40/17s
Will, Those are e38 style 5s. granted they arent the BBS RCs that are on the pic of the M3 but they are still 16x8 style 5s.Comment

I was looking through a site that lists all the BMW Style wheels and apparently there are 4 variations of the Style 5 including the e30m3 weave.
