The 225/45/15s work so much better, more grip, nothing rubs and I have some sidewall (not much mind you) to help keep the wheels true.
I could be talked into a set of 16s, but they would have to be the right wheels. Tire selection however is very limited.
I just fail to see a reason to buy a set of wheels that will either be screwed up to start with or will be screwed up in the near future just for a look (and a goofy Hot Wheels one at that) :loco: Not a single person here has a real E30 M3 DTM or WTCC car that ran 18s and had suspension (The pickup points and other areas under the fenders are different on the DTM cars over the street cars.) and bodywork to clear them. The noise a rubbing tire makes is horribly bad not to mention big wheels make the car slower. People already say E30s are slow, so they go and make them slower by hanging big heavy wheels off all four corners. It also makes the brakes less efficient. :giggle: You want less rotational and unsprung weight not more to make the car go faster.

While those wheels and tires do look good, those aren't style 5 wheels. Style 5s only come in a 17 inch wheel.
These are style 5s (I'm pretty sure.)

You guys are arguing like the E30 only came with one diameter tire and therefore it's sacriledge to run something different. Early etas actually came with 195/60r14s, which is why they also came with a 2.79 instead of a 2.93. 225/45r15 is the same diameter as 195/60r14, whereas you'll need to bump the sidewall to 225/50r15 if you want the more common stock diameter (195/65r14). More performance tires come in 225/45 and they threaten your fenders less in addition to gearing you down a bit, so they're a better choice overall as long as you're not a total nazi about speedo readings.paint sucks
