I've noticed over the last year a dramatic decrease in e30s, specifically late models, hitting the yards in SJ. A couple years ago they'd drop a few a week, it's tough to find what you need or anything desirable these days. Competing with too many non-bmw/e30 owners/enthusiasts too.
lol think i may have beat you there yesterday morning.
grabbed the headlight swtich out of that poor destroyed 318is.
parked next to a really mint roundie in the parking lot. yours?
LOL no, I left right when the roundie drove in. I was tempted to turn around and check the car out though but I had to get home before the misses woke up (she hates my junkyard adventures).
I know what 318is you were talking about. Felt bad the car. The original owner really did did a piss poor paint job and got overspray in a lot of areas. I was attempting to salvage the black trim window trim too.
just drive around the hood in oakland for an hour or two and you'll find something ;)
yup, just keep trying.
first time i smogged in LA, after installing itbs, took four tries, even castro motorworks said no.
last december in san jose, first time go, just picked an out-of-the-way shop where it looked like the guy saw so little business that he'd take an extra $40 to forget he saw the setup if it came down to it.
didn't have to bother with that, he didn't give it a second glance, just made sure everything an M42 was supposed to have (AFM, O2, etc) was there, ran down his list of checks, dyno'd it, and sent me on my way.
