I love it when a parts order gets screwed up. Pretty clearly this states that an upper and lower bearing shell are included with one order of said part number
11241310515 - BEARINGS M5, M6 6 CYL, 2.5L, 3.0L, 3.5L & 3.6L DOHC
Includes:One Upper & Lower Shell For One Rod.
MSRP Core Save Online Price
$18.13 $0.00 $3.63 $14.50
based on that, I ordered 4 rather than 8. I got 4 shells total in the order.Driving the Datsun is cool and all, but $10 per gallon of fuel to feed it sucks. The fuel bill is going to be as much as all the bearings, oil pump, and ARP rod bolts combined! (It gets about 6 mpg around town and perhaps 19 on the freeway. Its got a 10 gallon tank) So much for a quick and easy preventative maintenance job. Heck, it wasn't broken to begin with, just complying with the recommended service interval not knowing truly how many miles are on the engine. There was no knock, just some very fine metallic dust in the oil at the last oil change (only visible with strong direct light)
I was hoping to have this back together last weekend since I don't have another free weekend till the end of the month.
