ya. it's a huge pita. i got mine from a 3 series and it was ~6in too short. so im guessing that the 5 series will be longer

Has anyone converted to an electric sunroof? I was thinking about taking out the power one in my "e" car and putting it into my 'i" and was wondering if it's an easy job. I've seen a few write ups about it but they are a little vague.

You dont need to take the sunroof out. just replace the hand crank with an electric motor and harness out of a power sunroof car, swap header panels, run power down through the driver's a pillar.

There's no bracket for the motor to hold on to. Its two different brackets.

That makes no sense, is the vert longer than the coupe? Maybe you had the battery turned around?
