I just posted this in Random fs, but thought might go well here as well :

I just picked up a tow dolly that I'm willing to rent out. $50 per day, $100 deposit refunded upon return. Trailer uses a 2in Ball hitch, bring your own truck, or I can tow with my personal truck for extra charge… Pm me for fastest reply. Im not trying to make this into a business, just trying to help out the community. let me know if i can help any of you out if you're stuck…

Yeah, excuses, but hey, well done.

Thanks dude. I know firsthand how terrible bald/aging RS3s are, especially in the rain. My codriver's Mustang is getting really hairy with them on. Hey speaking of autox, time for video spam!

      E46 (50.9)

E30 (this is a sloppy 49.2 but wound up with an unfilmed 48.8)

I think I tore up the stock strut mounts on the E46 again at this autox... last time it was Laguna that did them in. Should I replace before or after thunderhill.... hmmmm

            I have to agree.

I've driven an E30 M3 with Euro S50 and 6 speed and while it was very fun, it wasn't all that impressive.

if your car is on, in neutral and clutch engaged. you will hear a chatter. that's the bearing. if you hear the noise with the clutch pedal pressed then it's the throwout bearing or the pressure plate (depending on the noise). if you hear the noise while driving (moving) then i would be more concerned that the UUC setup need maintenance or the trans is shot.

Surprisingly straightforward except for the actual dropping part. Just don't forget the brake lines and make sure the bushings aren't binding as you drop it down (keep the subframe pretty level).

If the m3 has the early model tank with the "crossover tube" then take extra care with the driveshaft; I had to remove one side of the subframe at a time as I couldn't drop it fully or it would bind on the driveshaft/crossover tube. Alternately you could just pull the driveshaft.

do this, it's a million times easier than trying to sneak around the tube

make sure to keep the splines aligned

I might stop by during the weekend if I'm out and about, but probably can't help, doing final race prep :(

Honestly it wasn't that much of a pain for me but I also didn't pull the entire exhaust.

Keep the diff attached and support it with a jack so it's level. Lower the jack and the diff should hopefully pull the whole thing down.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30
