Just because I like the E34 M5 doesn't mean I need to buy one. I'd probably go for the E39 M5 over it anyway.

    I agree.
E39 m5 is much more appealing to me than an e34 m5.

What I think Eric is getting at, is that a running m42 isn't rock bottom. Although for him it appears to be rock bottom.

As far as pressuring oil into the sensor hole; home depot+mcgyver something?

It has thread holes; you can find a nipple and hose and bottle to attach to it-

if it's not new how do you know it's good? Something is obviously not sealing.

Sounds like your pump is sucking air if you swear it was a good engine when removed from prior car.

Some think bumping of the oil pan can cause this.

The oil pan gasket in the linked thread is brand new. The only gasket that isn't is between the pickup itsel and the upper oil pan. It was working fine and I didn't touch it.

So from Home Depot I'd be looking for something like a hose with a threaded fitting to match the pressure sender hole? I'll see if I can go check that out soon. My last day of high school is tomorrow and I have a ton of makeup work to do tonight, then tomorrow I'll likely detail my dad's e30 to take to bimmerfest then Friday I'm gone down. Thanks for the help!
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

No reasons to justify anything; as you got a serious air leak.

          Find and fix!

What would you say is more likely: a huge air leak, or the pump being dry and therefore having no way to create a vacuum? Because the second one could hopefully be fixed by gear oil, the first I might as well take it all apart and replace the pump while I'm in there chasing the air leak.

Wish I had the money to drive my own car. Unfortunately I don't and I will be carpooling with your favorite m42goonsquad-er, Sina.
