have your dad fight it. all he has to do it say it wasnt him and send a photo of his license and say he loaned the car out. the burden is on the sate to prove who was driving. your dad doesnt not need to say it was u. just that he was clearly not the driver.
just got a ticket in the mail for a red light camera right turn in the city -____- fml.

Won't work if dad is not the registered owner. If it is in Spencer's name, they got him
Also won't work as many courts now require to send a list of potential drivers before being cleared so thy they can pursue legal recourse.
I was clocked at 85 in a 65 going down the hill near Valencia about 4 weeks ago.
CHP pulled me and asked for all documents. I pulled everything except the REG as I could not find it when he asked. It was in my glove box , but in a jumble of other paperwork. So he runs me. Finds me clean and then says - "I wrote you a ticket for no proofof registration in the vehicle". By that time I had found the reg and told him I had found it. He said (while pointing to the ticket) "This is the violation you want as I am not writing you up for 20 over and this is a 20 dollar offence , but the speeding ticket will cost you 600 dollars" . I said to the young CHP Stud "What the fuck did I just hear it would be 600 dollars?" He said yes and that it is ridiculous as the court system will get all of that money and not a single dime to the CHP.
I said, "Well yes , this is the ticket I want and you are cutting me quite a break"
Signed ticket and done!
So for anyone that thinks ALL law enforcement are dickheads well I ran into one that was actually a pretty straight up chill guy.
Vivi's rims look great for the Mariutus Blau combo!
Im thinking caps would cover the fill and drill and nobody would be the wiser(except for R3V that is)

Ask me how I know
the ticket was addressed to my dad because its registered in both our names.
and legally you don't have to tell them who you think was driving the vehicle.
but i feel if we fight they'll just notice the second name on the title and send me shit in the mail..
ill just pay it under his name and do traffic school under his name, luckily it was addressed to him because ive done traffic school within the last 18 months
Some of them will "cut you a break" but most won't give an eff
The only chill CHP I ran into cut me a huge break. I was driving at 17yo after the 11 o'clock curfew (it was around 2am). The light that always takes forever turned red so I pulled a quick right, u-turn, and another quick right to bypass the light.
Cop pulls me over and says I was taking turns pretty quick. runs me and asks me where I'm coming from and where I'm going. Says I should slow it down and just wait for lights, no matter the inconvenience. Told him lived literally right down the street, so he let me go off of a warning.

Lucky break.
Sometimes it's best to not even deal with the hassle and just opt for traffic school.
that have to prove u were the driver. can u see your face?
Yes this. Moving violations are on the driver not the registered owner. But if it's a super cheap ticket maybe it won't even be worth his time.
That's why I always try to obscure my face if I think I'll get snapped but I've never gotten a picture in the mail, knock on wood. Does anyone know if they take pics of the front and back of the car? Or if you don't run a front plate are you off the hook?

Thanks! I have the caps but I wanna retorque the lugs real fast after a few miles before putting them on. I figure a fill and drill is better than adapters so I don't mind that they're redrilled, definitely looks better with caps though

Young dude; like early 30s. Super chill guy
Have never met another cop like him.
Lucky break.

I've met a couple cops like him. They always seem to want to call for backup and try to scare you before eventually doing nothing and letting you go. One time I was 16 and driving at like 1am with a friend (there's two violations). The first thing the guy did was shine a flashlight right in my eyes and ask if we'd been smoking weed. I really don't know why that would be his first question because I said no and he didn't pursue it and eventually let me go with a fix-it brake light ticket, which is supposedly why he pulled me over although I believe it was for being young and in a low e30 at night.
My car is finally just about drivable so I'm ready to start getting pulled over again. I haven't gotten anything in like 7-8 months of driving other cars and I don't change my driving style .
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

He asked you that because statistically after 12 at night the only people on the road are drunks and stoners leaving the bar or house parties. Cops know this . They are trained to know this and get close enough to smell the refer or alcohol on your breath , person , or in vehicle aromas. So when you think a cop is getting real close to you in your car to be chummy - think again!
Its a roll of the dice for them if they pull someone after 12 . Eventually they will win the roll and have someone under the influence right in their sights. Its a numbers game -i.e.
Pull 20 cars a night after 12 - 5 or 6 are the big "winners"
Those numbers change drastically on celebratory weekends -Cinco De Mehico , Fourth of July, Memorial Day,etc
Dont kid yourself - young men are targets for the cops! You are guilty until proven innocent in their eyes.

THIS
Unfortunately, that's how the traffic system works for 18-25yo males. Besides the officer that was super chill, every officer that pulled me over were complete DBs. Wether or not they were always like that is speculation, but I'm more that 99% convinced it was because I was a young male in a "sports car" (slow as balls 2000 Mitsubishi eclipse GS 4-Cyl).
When I got into e30s, cops were less DBs than when I had my eclipse, but only to a lesser degree.
Even with the 0-60 time below 5 seconds, and all the cool gizmos and gadgets... I dunno: I felt so "insulated" from the driving experience, if that makes any sense.
At least in my slow as balls e30, I felt like I was going fast. I hit 80 mph in the Z no problem and I felt like I was doing 40...
cops are chill, you just need to know how to deal with them. They're people first...
Just make sure they feel comfortable ASAP (as for all they know, they're about to get shot), tell the truth, speak when spoken to and you should be golden.

Been lucky more than once; been let off going more than 30 over. But I've also been nailed and paid the fine.
Worst fine ever in the bay area? Carpool lane violation. 491
Don't F with the man and you will probably have decent luck.

Yep that's what I'm saying. I probably have a few more years before cops stop pulling me over for no reason. That one guy at night I swear turned on his lights before he even saw the back of my car.

Kinda why I don't love my dad's e46. It's retardedly fast but even over 100 you would swear you're doing the speed limit. Its also just too easy and almost feels like it takes some of the challenge of driving (on the street) because you always have so much power to just do whatever you want.
