oil-iver if you end up buying a prius take into consideration the plug in prius! ive had guest's at the hotel who drive them and they average like 65mpg.

So who knows how to pass smog? I'm thinking CRC Guaranteed to pass through a tank of gas and maybe octane booster and/or a little bit of ethanol at the time of the test? I failed the sniffer 15mph across all three gases. The guy thought it was the cat. The last time I ran my car I burned a TON of oil (put a good amount in each cylinder to get the rings to build compression). It smoked up my whole street. I think cleaning out the exhaust system would be beneficial.

If you failed at all three gases, it's absolutely the cat not being warm enough to work. You probably soaked it in oil from the smoking AND didn't get it up to temp.

An M42 should pass without any problem. If you're close to passing, the cheap tricks will work but if it's far away from the pass threshold, you need to actually fix the problem.

Drive the car a LOT, drive it HARD, and burn up a couple gas tanks and try again. If it still doesn't pass, then change the oil, change oil filter, change plugs, change O2s if need be, and go beat the crap out of the car on the way to the test station.

Post the results? It's easy to diagnose with the actual numbers.

Hey guys! It's been awhile since I've done a group buy. I wanted to see if any of you would be interested in a Remus Exhaust System group buy. I might be able to pull this off if we had at least 10 people.

I want to offer this locally first and see how many interest I can get. If interested, which would you prefer, the 90mm or the 76mm round tips. PMs are welcomed to. that crc guarantee to pass shit doesn't work. just do what bimmer man said and run a bottle of seafoam through it. I'd say put seafoam in with 1 tank then burn through 2 more tanks before you go back.
