Quick question, I'm trying to replace my valve cover gasket and my kit came with little seals for the bolts. Problem is that either I'm dumb, or I can't figure out how to take the old seals off without cutting them. I can't seem to pull them off, it gets stuck on the ridge thingy.

In the event of a front end collision hard enough to jerk your face into the steering wheel, I don't think a steering wheel will be your biggest concern.

And plus, Spence has to look cool at all times, including and especially during an accident. You never know if the paramedic will be a hot 20 something recently single blonde ex LV stripper. Gotta stay prepared. She will see the wood steering wheel and with a nod of approval, resuscitate near-death Spency using her mouth.
