My car has never bottomed out. However I agree that the springs are too soft. How are sport springs too low? The race springs are what the spec e30 guys run and they sit even lower. Although performance is a big part of it all, it's not my number one need.
I know that lowering the car won't make it handle any better. If anything lowering it too much will make it handle worse. I'm pretty much at my peak handling wise right now with the spring strut combo, Ireland engineering sway bars front and rear, z3 rack, upgraded bushings, etc. So anything I choose to change will be a "downgrade" to some depending on their perspectives.
We all have priorities for our cars. Some care 100% about performance and that's their thing. While I love how my car handles, I personally want it to aesthetically fit me and my taste. Heck, I seem to look at my car 1000x more than I taking it to the track.
The amount of gap between my wheels and fenders up front looks disgusting to me. That's why Id like to lower it a bit!
Here's a pretty cupcake for you! And a photo of the gap!
So, what experience do you other guys have with coils? I hear Broadway's are awesome but are limited to super low ride heights. I wanna close the gap, not dump it on the ground. :)

I am very, very content with my H&R M3 Race Springs & Bilstein sports all around.
E90 Drop-hats up front for a little visual reverse rake correction.
It's my third suspension setup and it's just right.

That actually looks really nice! I'll try some drop hats before I try and swap suspension. My buddy has a set of style 10's and I like them more and more every time I see them. Very clean sedan!

When I say "legit coilovers" I mean suspension that is Adjustable height, preload, dampening, etc. the traditional sense of a coilover. Not sure if you're brand bashing FA/bc/Megan or responding to cabriolet's comment about ground controls haha. Gc's would be perfect but it costs so much. If I can get it all for under a grand that would be ideal. Keeping the bilstein sports would be awesome...

Do you really need that adjustment? I am very happy with the ride, ride height and comfort of my IE3 race springs (same as H&R Race)
Considering you already have the Bilstein sports, you are looking at a LOT less than a grand.Simon

I'm very happy with my dampers right now and don't see the need to adjust them. Mainly looking for height adjustment. German engineering coils seem to be unobtainable now, and gc's (correct me if I'm wrong) are around 1k or more. Don't want to go with jom's due to the apparent poor spring rates either.
Edit: GC conversion kit is $450! End of discussion :)

If you already have Billie sports just get HR race springs for now until you can afford an appropriate coilover setup. It'll cost you like 250 to find some race springs if that. IE3s or HR Race will work with Billie sports and you'll be lower than the HR sport springs you're on now.

I told you I'd buy them. I told you I'd pay your asking price. YOU are the one who approached me at the beginning looking to sell or trade.
I give you a 0/10 on communication and a -2/10 in conducting a simple transaction.
You suck, but I'm not mad. Glad you (seemingly) got what you wanted.world renown Harry Potter expert

I apologize for not staying in contact with you. When I initially approached you on your wtb add I was just gauging my options as to see what they were worth. You offered me a price, but the only reason I didn't go with it was because I stated I needed wheels to ride on in the mean time until I found replacements since they were my only wheels. I wasn't able to find any super cheap rollers and that's why I wasn't able to sell them outright. I received an offer for cash and bottle caps and started talking with the guy about his project.
Once again I'm really sorry about the mix up and I hope you don't take this negatively.
Andrei.
