Im with you, but overall Im a big fan of the M20, kinda wish I wasnt so stubborn and I would have a 2.8L M20 right now, not a 2.8L M52. all good though, Im very happy with my car.

Marco, if you build it right you will be smiling from ear to ear for a long time

The 712 and 678 have the same ratio. The only difference is the part that controls how much assist is given. I believe the 712 offers less steering assist. Otherwise they are the same. There's nothing special about the zhp rack other than its underboosted

If I build it right? What do you mean? I currently have an '87 eta bottom end, an 885 head, m50 injectors, all new gaskets and seals, and kamotors intake. I will also be running it with m50 injectors, dinan chip, and billy boat catback.

Should I get seta pistons? What other things, and what other work would be involved if I went this route? Rings? Bearings?

Just seta pistons and a hone? Or pistons, rings, bearings, and a hone?

SETA pistons and regular B25 pistons are the same as far as I know. Best way to do is to get all the parts you listed. Done right that motor will outlast the car

Shit, I might as well just do a 2.8l. M52 crank, eta 130mm rods, 325i pistons. Would I need to rebuild the head at all? Or could I use stock rockers, springs, etc?

There is someone with an m52 crank for sale on r3v right now. He also has a rebuilt head, but that is $600 vs $70 for a stock head.

                  close by not really

marco, just use an eta crank
M20B27 rods or anything but the eta rods
                  and seta pistons.

or you get the set from Ireland Engineering/bimmer heads. bringing up the 9.75:1 custom pistons

Eric, what are you even saying. Earlier you said to just get seta pistons. Now you're saying don't ise seta pistons with the eta crank.

Does anyone happen to know the BMW part number for the M3 fog light relay? (K8) I tried using all the numbers I could see on the relay and came up with nothing.

                      Thanks,

Now the struggle is finding seta pistons. A quick search on r3v lead to nothing. I'm on my phone though, harder to search. So I like this idea, but why not the 2.8l stroker? M52 cranks are not expensive, I have b25 pistons already, and have access to an 885 head. If I can run stock motronic with a chip, some m50 injectors, and a stock 885 head then I would much rather go this route.

I have no idea. I've tried to pick one up from a few places and come up empty handed. I thought it was, but apparently not.
