          Anyone know how to remove this nylon bushing to get the shifter out? This is how far i've gotten:

            From the top side. use 2 flat head screwdrivers and stick them in the notches and twist left then yank up on the shifter and it pops out

                Use needle nose pliers from above. Twist the nylon bushing until the locking tabs reach the disengagement point and pull up on the lever.

                              I am very bummed I did not get that m30 swap.

                              Also, what do you guys think is a reasonable/max mileage a motor should have before you swap in? I am going to start and try to piece together a swap, but all the motors seem very high mileage.

                                If you can drive the car and it pulls strong, and it's reasonably clean under the valve cover, it should be fine regardless of mileage.
