Thats a nice improvement! One of the things that drives me most crazy about what happened with mine is I had JUST replaced my fenders to clean original paint alpine ones, and now I have to look again. Zinno was a bitch to find too when I had my eta, years ago.



Were you guys using a regular ass hammer? I was planning on doing something similar with mine, but using a mallet instead of a hammer

Haha yeah, $15 harbor freight heat gun and a "ball peen" hammer, basically just a round hammer, we even used the square side some. We used some chisels as well as punches for certain areas.

pants, you can do a medium turbo with the build i did for you. but you will be better off keeping the car stock, and getting another to build up. then sell this one later on.



having a reliable car is 10000x more valuable than having a fast car.

I'm at the point where I either wanna bastardized this car, and get a daily driver for the reliability, or I wanna get another car to bastardized.

I think if I turbo'd this I would do an 885 head swap with arp studs and metal head gasket first. Then of course I have to buy hella turbo shit, fit an intercooler somewhere, and get piggyback software to tune.

I don't want to be one to instigate, but what do you do now that the car has been damaged, when it comes time to sell? Does your buddy plan to throw anything on top of the repair costs?

I know the car doesn't hold a salvage title, but it has been damaged substantially, enough to deter prospective buyers.


Again, I only bring this up because it is a thing and shouldn't be shrugged off as unimportant.

I agree with you that being open and honest about this accident will deter perpective buyers, but this car was never going to get its "true" value and the accident certainly doesnt help. However, I only see this being a real problem if the car requires frame work, which at this point doesnt seem necessary. Again, this is an assumption and we will only know what all of the bent pieces are replaced.

If the car drives true and straight it shouldnt deter any buyers of a 84 318 that doesnt have anything from the original car.
