Rear shock mount is stuck. The 2 13mm bolts won't come up. Think they are stripped and not engaging? Thinking of getting nre mounts and just dremeling it off. Anyone have an idea?

I need advice!
How detrimental is it to drive around with my leaky water pump? Driving around town I've seen no coolant temp spikes or anything like that. I'd assume that even if it looses fluid, the coolant res would just replenish it, correct? I don't think it would lead to air in the system.
I don't see any drips while driving/running but leaving the car overnight leads to a tiny puddle the size of a baseball on the ground. If I keep an eye on the coolant level I should be fine, right?

Depends on how proactive you are.
When I first rebuilt my eta the water pump leaked, I drove it to Vacaville, refilled the coolant, drove it to Sonoma raceway from there, refilled half way there, then refilled at the race track and drove home.

Fix it. Cheap problem now, new head gasket or worse later.
At the very least, make sure your AAA membership is up to date.Drive it hard. Maintain it well.

Parts are in the mail. Had some last minute Christmas shopping to do so I was hoping to get away with it for a day or so. Looks like I won't be driving for the next week or two!

I have sad news to report. Last weekend a drunk driver in a shitty 90's mustang crashed into my poor E30 after losing control in the rain. She was parked on the street in front of my house and has subsequently been written off by the callous insurance company. She was towed away this morning and after 16 years together I mourn her absence more then any past girlfriend. I have thought about buying a new one, but it just wouldn't the same.... and would feel like I was cheating on her. I have listed the parts I was collecting on the for sale board (MZ3 TA swap setup) if anyone is interested. I wish you all the best, and I ask you all to hug your E30's in memory of my loss.1991 BMW 318i - Parts Gathering for MZ3 5Lug and M62 Swap

It was getting harder to justify the money I was putting into the old girl to my GF, especially with my growing collection of cars. It also is looking like I will be moving to Boston soon for work and it will be hard to find the time or a space to wrench on what will have to be my daily driver.C6Z
