Ya! It's one of the easiest engines to work on imo. Plenty of room and straight forward.
Agreed! It's a super satisfying feeling to know I've done the TB and water pump. I feel like I can tackle almost any project in the engine bay now! Thanks for the support!
It usually has a pretty good turnout. The last couple of meets had a lot of people show up. Even some exotics. There's a couple of r3v guys that show up as well. As far as the 1:15 hour drive being worth it, that's on you!
so....
with tax season coming up ive been looking to get an S13 to make the primary skid racing car, and just keep the e30 running good and well maintained for a DD.
but out here in vegas, affordable decent examples of s13's are almost non existent. everythings either swapped and 5k+, a total turd and 3k+ or both.
so ive been kind of looking in the other direction, e30 drift build, acquire new daily driver.
i've been wanting a wagon of sorts, i want an e46 wagon badly, but i hear to many shitty things about the m54.
so i've somewhat resorted to late 90's early 2000's legacy wagons and foresters.
anyone have any experience? i know the ej25 (if properly maintained) is capable of many miles, it's also failry easy to work on. i'm not looking for anything fast. and the subaru perks of being awd would mean more snow trips.
the only thing that bothers me about this is it's much easier to make an s13 into a better drift car compared to the e30. rear end is much more drift friendly with the true coilover design, and non-drum style handbrake design. aftermarket parts are much cheaper and easier to come by for the s13 as well.
