i had a mk2 that started out as a 1.8 8V GTI, and swapped in the 2.0-16v from a passat, while keeping the 1.8's tranny for the short ratios... that little car was quick to about 115 with a 7800rpm chip, and stopped right there. i'd build another one someday.

Yeah the ABA swaps are popular. Well if Oliver is fa sho gonna take it, I'll text him tomorrow, I'm totally fine. If however his mind has changed, I'm down to put money into it for some god forsaken reason.
