job interviews today and tomorrow (today was LendingClub, tomorrow AppDynamics, if you're familiar with either)- thursday going to move the e30 over, pull it into the garage, put it on stands, and start taking shit off.

This is true, I had a '79 MB 300sd and I didn't think I could own something as boat like as that again. Low and behold, I did and I still don't like them

I drove my friends E34 540i and I liked it better than my E34 M5. Granted I wasnt revving the shit out of the M5 all day long so there was that... both are/were boats though

my e30s and 240sxs are the biggest cars i've owned... can't see going for anything bigger.

The E34 is comfy and the pull from 20-80 is intoxicating but the size is the one thing I just can't get over. Don't like it too much either because it feels bigger than it really is, it really is Land Yachting

Make me an offer, I have something else lined up already to replace it. Basically, 525's and 530's seem to hover around 2-2.5 with 540's closer to 3 and 5-6 for manual ones. It's priced fair imo but I would like space for something new at the moment ;D
