sorry danny im the asshole for making a mistake.
apparently the basic no frills full maintenance with no shop labor is $14,272. but if you add in ssk, coilovers, brakes upgrade, dash, sub, smiles, fogs, engine swaps, etc you can damn well hit 20k no problem. i just went to ecs, turner, pelican for the prices. so no im not blowing it out my own ass or hyping my car. there are other guys' cars i work on that have many thousands into their cars more than i do into mine. yes i like my car, no it's not perfect, but i know that if i need to drive to WA and back, the only thing i need to do is change the oil. no i dont have the nicest shit, and there is about $20k more i'd like to spend. but the whole point was, get all the stuff done to the car to make it safe, usable and fun before you waste money on shit that IG fanbois like.

Not everyone wants to spend 20k on a 4k car.
Im happy with my car, its only had me on the side of the road once for a slave cylinder, 2 day i owned it. It takes me on my +40miles work route while getting 25mpg while loving every mile. Reasons i got it, not because its maintenance free. Ive been replacing things that need to be replaced but im not going all out to build a princes atleast not right now.

You have a great car and you can see the every dollar spend on it
