The 540 decided it didn't wanna be a car this afternoon while the touring was in the shop. Started it and it was a little shaky, idled lower than normal, below 500 and felt like it wasn't going to accelerate when you stepped on the gas. Definitely a misfire but holy hell, it's the worst one I've ever experienced. I had to drive it full throttle for it to accelerate at all and keep it above 3k RPM so it ran smooth, limped it home and my friend came over with his scanner and it's missing on #4 and #7. Yay.
When I first took delivery of my E39 M5 it would lose almost all power and go into limp mode after about 30 minutes of driving. Shutting it down and letting it sit for a few minutes and it would start back up and run normally. Turned out being coil #6.

Its pretty annoying that the coils go out on these cars. Is there no way to make that bulletproof

Mirror got torn off, hanging by the electrical cable. Guy left his card, which is nice. Car doesn't look to have any other damage luckily, but its dark and rainy so I can't tell very well.

Nice. I'd bet there aren't many that are still that color. Its cool you guys are staying stock with it. The dash is a cool thing to have.
