God damn im an idiot seriously i mean auto to manual my errors are making me look stupid today XD
A 6 series E36 and a manual to auto conversion
A manual swap shouldn't cost near that much for shop labor, it takes 2 idiots like me a weekend to do, I'd call it 9ish hours in total. A legit shop should realistically take less time but even if they do it in 10-12 hours at a standard rate of ~100/HR, that's only $1000.

I had a buddy who's e30 was swapped in a shop. It was there for weeks. I can only imagine the costs involved if there are other issues along the way.

No i want to do a 325i automatic to manual on this car
LOL my dumb ass is screwing this thread up lol
And here I am feeling good cuz I bought a neat-o steering wheel
Your steering wheels is guaranteed to work! I may have just spent a butt load of money that can be (sorta) lost with one messed up French seam. I will definitely spend 20+ hours making sure everything is perfect! Can't afford it not to be haha...
I mean thankfully the only really expensive part was the mtech fabric. The rest was not bad. And the easiest parts are done in mtech. So it's all good :)

This is true lol. You're not gonna take it all in to an upholstery shop?

The only time I've ever had anyone else work on my car was when I was getting my exhaust done, and that was simply because I didn't have access to welding equipment at the time! (Currently taking a welding class so I'm solving that issue). However, I do have access to a sewing machine that will take anything I throw at it, and an excuse to develop my skills from intermediate to advanced. I'll take that opportunity and learn something new! It's not rocket science really. With tons of practice, knowing the tricks if the trade, and enough research I'm sure it'll turn out great! The e30's interior is super simple and there's not much that can really go wrong!

Thanks Carson! I'll be posting photos on my build thread and probably Instagram so keep a tab on those! I'm hoping to finish the red belts this weekend along with possibly the door panels!
