I even ran it for 8 full minutes at 9/10ths in the mountains without realizing that I blew a rad hose and was fully overheated and it was still fine once I put like 9 gallons and re-pressurized the system.

Hey guys ive had my e30 for about 3 days now and i dont know what happened today but while i was on break i was listening to music in my car for like 10min then i smelled gas so i looked at the exaust and saw small clouds of smoke coming from the exhaust i turned it off then went back to work and came out about 30min later and started it and it was good again. I drove it home fine and when i pulled out of my parking spot a small spot of some fluid was on the ground about under the drivers side back seat.
Anyone know if this is a problem and if I should drive it before getting it checked out?Comment

Most likely one of the hoses to your fuel filter is crusty/leaking. It doesn't explain the exhaust though.

I think the car was running really rich because there was like a spot where the smoke was coming from the exhaust which i believe smelled like gas.Comment

There's literally no other fluids in the general driver side rear seat area other than fuel. The rubber lines to the filter get frail over time; cracking and causing leaks.
I'm confused, are you saying smoke was coming out of the exhaust tips, or somewhere off the midsection? Seems like you're hinting towards that, however it's kind of hard to tell...
If the car was running rich, the excess fuel would just combust in the exhaust. It wouldn't leak out the fuel.
There aren't any fuel lines near the exhaust. If there's some kind of smoke coming off of the surface of the exhaust; it's some other liquid dripping on it, but once again I don't think that's really possible underneath the car outside of normal circumstances.
