I tried shifting without a clutch today. It was easiest from 2-3 and 3-4. I got it most of the time, but grinded a tiny bit on 4th like twice. So how's everyone's day been?

Any tips on removing the tranny fill/drain plugs other than doing some pushups? These are fucking tight and look like they may have blue locktite on them. The first car I ever rode in was an e30

So I soaked it in wd40, and did this...still not fucking budging. I have no clue why the fuck a drain plug could fucking possibly have to be this fucking tight. My back hurts from putting so much pressure on it.

I can't it hits the ground. I'll jack it up a couple more inches and try again.
EDIT: Did that. Got the silver wrench to the end of the black wrench and pushed with all my might. Didn't do shit. Whoever tightened these bolts last must have been fucking superman. And I definitely think i messed up something in my back from this shit. what the fuck.Last edited by Vivek; 06-19-2012, 03:24 PM.The first car I ever rode in was an e30

Don't see any recessed allens. There's this one, but I don't think that's it. Where would the fill plug be if that one was it...?

This is what I'm looking at. The big 17mm bolt is what I'm assuming is the fill plug. There's also an identical one on the bottom of the tranny, which should be the drain plug.
