so im currently taking a shot at replacing my timing belt....how da FUCK are you supposed to get the cooling fan off? I know its reverse threaded, but I cant get the pulley to stop moving when im trying to whack it off with wrench + mallet

I think i'll step in and say something now. Its something thats been coming to a lot of people on here for a long time. Basicly a "genocide on retards". Pretty much all of the tards that is lumped up in this group is new guys from the past 2 years. And it seems that NorCal is the breading ground for dumbing of R3V. There is a few spread out on here in other parts of the country. But our eyes are on NorCal. Not everyone from there is in this category. Cause we get complaints from your fellow brethren about this.

From the past two years R3V has been chill on ridding out dumbasses. I'm an easy guy to get along with and will give everyone a chance. But it has pretty much came to a point where we got to put on the brakes and go back to the old ways and get down rite :hitler: on peoples asses. Lately its been easy going and we aren't too hard on guys. But the whip needs to crack harder. I know this is basicly off topic that you guys carry on in, but the moronic post you guys post up is a reflection on how people see you on here. And reflects on what others think of this whole forum.

I'm not an OG on here, but i have been on here long enough to remember how things was when a person who came along and was a complete dumbass. That person didnt last too long and was hit with the ban hammer. Then they would just go on their way to another e30 forum... So stop treating this place like your elementary school playground. And you won't be looked upon as the joke of R3V.

I have to disagree and say the moderators have been just as childish. This is a Northern California thread, if you go and look at the SoCal one, it has the same content. It's treated more as a chat room than your typical organized thread, and YES...using slang from their region. I'll quote some examples if necessary, but I don't think I need to.

When you talk about "being looked at as the dumbasses of this forum" what does this pertain to? Because we jokingly throw out words like "do.e" that piss off people from other regions? Where is this line of "stupidity" of how we're seen, and when is it crossed? In my opinion it shows a lack of intelligence not being able to form a cogent sentence, not capitalizing simple proper nouns such as "I" and the first word of a sentence, not to mention the lack of (or too many causing fragments) periods and commas. Why aren't these people targeted as well? Sure it's not slang, but they sound like fucking retards just simply conversing.

If "do.e" and other slang is really that offensive, why are things like "Hey Fags" allowed to be in the title of a thread? I'm sure there's numerous gay people in this forum that would be offended, not to mention maybe some sponsors. In my opinion "fag" is just as offensive as the word "nig.ger" and there would never be a thread entitled "Hey Nig.gers" yet this slid under the radar. Not to mention it goes along with the old saying to lead with example.

Yes, "do.e" has come to light more often because of the recent comedic music of rapper "Lil B" (based out of the Bay Area) even though it dates back ages to the days of Tupac, Mac Dre, etc. before rap was considered a joke. But what about other "slang" that appears on this thread like srs, srysly, lime, vlad references-vladtastic, a vlad job, etc. I'm not sure why these are accepted, yet others aren't. If it isn't offensive, why not let it go?

Edit: And is do.e really added to a list of offensive words blocking it out with ***? That's been taken much too far.

i use a 10 wrench to hold the pulley and then turn the 32 wrench.

I changed brake pads for the first time (I know...) today. It was my mom's car. My dad and I messed up and had to run to the dealer to get raped on the 4 bolts that we stripped ($16 for ceramic pads, $25 for a pair of male and female slide bolts that hold the caliper on). Other than that it went great.

stick a screwdriver between the 10mm bolt heads on the waterpump to hold it still.
