I usually do 2 a week 5000m row in about 20 mins at the end of my workout. so if you get stranded just know I can row for 3 miles pretty fast, as long as there is no current against me :). but what is #10 on the resistance equivlent too?

Not bad! Do you ever look at the 500m avg on the screen?
That's the main way rowers/coaches measure your strength/endurance (using the avg/500m split for the entire piece - however long it may be)

Also, you should keep it around 4 on the resistance.
When we do the huge team ergs in the courtyard or on the sidewalk (imagine ~40 dudes all lined up early in the morn or in the afternoon)

Our coach has us on that resistance. (been the same erg style thru 4 years of high school and 1 of college)

Ok, i'm off of work and see things have calmed down. I don't want to really come off sounding like a dad telling kids to shut up or i'm pulling the car over! Cause i think the message has got across and people get the point. And thats to just calm down some. I know this is a chat thread, it says right there in the title it is LOL. But like i stated before. When your fellow NorCal people complain and when it starts to get noticed by the rest of the forum. Something has to be said.

I love it!!! Hardly any bosses, and its more laid back. I work 10pm-6:30 sunday nite through friday morning. Some days I got to work over. But as long as I go straight home and get shower then go to bed. I'm pretty good. Cause basically you sleep while everyone else is at work. But there are days I get little to no sleep. Like today, I've been up since 8pm yesterday. Since I got tonight off, ill be able to sleep well.

I'm not an OG on here, but i have been on here long enough to remember how things was when a person who came along and was a complete dumbass. That person didnt last too long and was hit with the ban hammer. Then they would just go on their way to another e30 forum... So stop treating this place like your elementary school playground. And you won't be looked upon as the joke of R3V.

This is one of the worst way a forum can operate IMO. Forums are meant for people to come and learn, and chat, not be degraded because of knowledge. I know I am one of the "dumbasses" as that is how I have portrayed myself to the community, but everyone's outlook and attitude on here is the main reason for this. If every time a new person came around that was dumb, and everyone pushed them out, then how would r3v and e30's grow? This forum was the most uninviting forum I have ever joined. Many of the "OG's" are assholes, and spend more time poking dun at the new members rather then using their knowledge to help.

I say the mods are somewhat running this place wrong, they need to focus on getting more people in this community, and teach more people about the greatness of e30's, especially because e30's are getting harder to find.

Your (and anyone's) value on here is gauged solely by post quality, as that is the only medium of communication.

There is a difference between uninviting and harsh. This forum is harsh, primarily because harshness has proven to be a good way to motivate people to spent time and effort on making quality posts. The majority of people on this forum want it to be a civil, understandable, and mature place, and they pile on members that don't post that way in an effort to preserve the forum.

Either way I love r3v. There is so much information on here it is overwhelming. I mean I have had an e30 less than a year, and I have already bought a non running car to work on. I learn quick though.

Doin' a lot of car work this week. Dropping the entire rear suspension and subframe on my dad's car to replace the springs, shocks, TABs, subframe mounts, sway bar end links...

Anyone know a good place to get tires removed? I'm looking into some wheels, but I want to see how cheap I can remove the tires for and let the owner keep them to save some $$.
