BTW, i figured out the wires... it's not those two in the glove box. those are AC wires... So I would have to put my old one back in and see what's up tomorrow. Hopefully it's just the cluster so Bo can just get me a new one and has nothing to do with the wiring... I really have no clue on what's going on since everything else is fine.... :(

let me know what you find and i'll try to figure it out tomorrow as well.
btw, i ended up not using the 325i o2 sensor since I couldn't get that damn thing off. I kept the entire 325e exhaust minus the exhaust manifold. and changed out the plug to the i harness (3->4 wires). it's actually much cleaner this way, not having to hack up the exhaust. Which i prefer for now. it's working great so far!
