Impact on strut is a good way to ruin the piston seals...why not use hand tools? Lowes has a new extreme socket line that is DOPE. Basically it passes straight over bolts, but also allows you to stick the Allen key into the strut and then turn with the wrench. $80 for the tools from lowes.IG: @Baye30

I'm only talking about taking them apart. I wouldn't impact it back on. Is there any way to hold a bilstein strut in place to use a ratchet on the top nut? I know you can do that on a stock insert because of the spring's pressure on it, and then it flies apart once it's open.The first car I ever rode in was an e30
