do you have to get if referee'd first or di you already do that? its been years since Ive had to deal with CA driving laws. I have a 318i with a m20 swapped in and im worried how much shit they are going to give me about it when i move back next year.

i hope i can just smog it and be good, it looks like a stock engine bay.

in other news, im driving down again friday. hopefully wont have much snow to deal with going over the pass into Cali

when you say "318i", do you mean M10 or M42?

if the latter, one of the CA swap rules is that the engine must be newer than the car- hopefully you've got documentation to that effect.
