How long usually does it take to fit me in on an appointment? I'm going to get the car ref'd at SCC in Fairfield hopefully. There's no going back after this :/

My dad ordered a new rad yesterday for his 318. Should be in tomorrow. What can I do to convince him that BMW coolant is worth it (if it is on a 200k engine)? "But it's fucking BLUE" isn't quite cutting it.

Distilled water+water wetter and a cup or two of coolant works pretty good for me

for that m42 use only bmw coolant+ distilled, it is much less corrosive to the head. flush the block atleast once with 4gal of distilled water before adding the new coolant.

normal coolant is like $18/gal and bmw stuff is only $30/gal. for $12 more its very worth it

Plus it the cooling system, in my eyes don't cheap out lol
