    hm.
    not too sure.

having some issues with the timing belt.
i cant seem to get it on!
the tensioner kicked all the way back and tightened up so if the belt were on it would be slacky.
so i have the belt around the crank, oil pump, and tensioner and i cant seem to get it around the cam.

shoould i remove the tensioner and put it around the cam and then bolt in the tensioner?

I believe there is a specific way to put the belt on i.e. over the cam first or something.
      SO MUCH MORE TO DO!!

You kinda got to slide it a 1/4 to 1/2 on to the cam gear and then work it on to the other gears, and slip it on the tensioner last before pushing it all the way onto the cam gear. Or at least that's how I did it.

it has a salvage title d()e. If it's the one i'm thinking of it's not worth what he's asking also smashed in core support.

-Compress tensioner as much as possible and tighten in place.
-Start with crank and pull belt tight up along the intake side onto intermediate pulley.
-Route exhaust side next, up around tensioner.
-Turn crank backwards 1/2 a tooth only.
-Pull belt off intermediate shaft pulley and tensioner about halfway so it's easier to slip it over the cam pulley.
-Keep taut along intake side and route belt over cam pulley.
-Push the belt all the way onto all the pulleys.
                    -Release tensioner.
-Rotate engine forward 2 full rotations.
                    -Tighten tensioner.
                    -Kalim

Do you guys think 17x8 style 10's will look good on an e30?

I wish. My friend wants one.

I know. Salvages don't matter imo, and he sent me a pic of the core support, looks perfect. He said something about it being repainted (definitely was) but didn't say it was replaced. Hmm...

he didn't replace it he bent it back with his friend, looks f-d up in person. hoods bent too, also on the body kit there is zip tie hoes drilled into front valence. Also some chunks missing out of the plastic on the side pods maye a quarter big, so will have to be filled in. also needs all new suspension and bushings, it was shot when I test drove it. interior is good though, lil bits missing here and there but nothing much.
i was thinking about it but the salvage title just pushed me away. come with a hard top too right?

Vivek, I'm probably going to be selling my vert. Not being an mtech, it's still a clean car. PM me if he's interested and I can send info your way.

I'll let you know. Unfortunately he hates tan interiors but your car is probably more cared for than this mtech. It's had literally zero maintenance which worries me. Head gasket is probably on it's way out, every suspension bit will be garbage...

Alright. Also, s62e30 has a clean set of rear seats that I had planned to get. He's in San Jose. He only wanted $100. And that would put the interior at a 9/10. I also have service records for the car's entire life.
