you squeeze it, i mean you stick a screw driver in there and bend it open. just fuck it up till it comes off.
then just use pliers to squeeze it back on

Woo got it. Ended up ripping the hose off with a channel lock though because I am 95% sure that it is literally fucking impossible to actually remove it properly in the space that it's in.
