if you cant afford that get HR race and drop hats.
I got some hr's on right now, but mean for a z3 I think. I like the ride height now but rides hella rough. I was just thinking about getting bilstein shocks to soften up the ride. But would it raise my ride height?

shocks have nothing to do with ride height. the weight of the car is on the springs. the shocks are for dampening only

Cool. Looks like I have shocks on the top of my Christmas list.
But it would give me a more comfortable ride right?

Bilsteins aren't especially comfortable. Konis are better for both comfort and performance.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

Depends on spring rates. If the ots valving won't handle the spring rates you're using then that's the problem. I'm not really a fan of twin tubes(konis) but they are significantly cheaper to build. When I go through my suspension I'll probably go with custom valved bilsteins, if I don't get a set of ASTs (had ASTs on my Miata, 550/350 spring rates were barely any more uncomfortable than stock).
