get the battery cable out of a 5series.
address the rust under the battery tray in the engine bay. check under the rubber and under the heat shield.
since the radiator is old, flush it hard.

order up your lukebox for it too.

what springs is it on?

lol it's not that bad. No heated seats, power top works just need to do the sequencing for the motors. also has a extra top brain as spare. No rust under battery. Yeah I flush all fluids when I get a car. Has B&G springs, needs misc. mini lights. Seat back is kinda lose, Needs new OBC (I have like 10), Adjust e-brake. brakes and timing belt done 2k miles ago. Give it a good tear down and cleaning/detail of interior. Does the auto gear lever light up the leters for drive/reverse/ etc? Hard to see at night what gear I'm in. Also needs a new gas pedal as this one broke way from bottom. re-glue headliner to hard top. new oil cap since this one is cracked, some new clips for front spoiler. Just a bunch of little dumb shit other wise it's fine, tracks straight, drives great, sounds good and looks good.

Also found out our cars can handle a waffleswaffleswaffleswafflesing seagull at 80mph with no cracking of the glass. Did'nt know what the waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles he was doing but he dive bombed going with me in front of me about 50 yrds ahead. I thought he was just going to move out of way like every other bird so I didn't really slow. Then I was coming up on him fast, thought he was gonna hit grill, he pulls up at last second and smashed right into where my head would be if no window. Look in rear view mirro and he/she is just tumbling from the sky with guts and shit falling. Poor fellow didn't know what hit him. Thought my window was gonna be waffleswaffleswaffleswafflesed and have a bird smash me in the face at 80mph. But nothing was wrong.

as for power top. be VERY careful with those motors. they are incased in sh*t pot-metal that cracks if you look at it funny.

if you want to bring the car down on the sunday the 6th we can look at the top for you.

the gearshift light is on when the car is on, regardless of position.

also there is always rust under the battery, unless it has been resprayed. there is also always money in the banana stand

you might want to raise the car up to M3 or HR sport springs. it will be way nicer to drive. the heated seats will be nice to get repaired. however this can only be done when you are recovering them.
fix the seat back asap. you probably have a popped weld. or a dying hinge.

i think it's a hinge, but yeah it didn't come with heated seats. I have a pair in house but in tan leather so maybe one day i'll get some new leather on it. I already have the harness for heated seats, just need switches. I fixed a top before so I know what to do just need 2 people to make it easier is all. And I have the Alpina 17" rims, hopefully that raises it up enough or I can put my M3 springs on it if I still don't like it. Right now it is waffleswaffleswaffleswafflesing low and scrapes on driveways.

My fuel lines dry rotted a while back so I changed them out with better hose. They had been replaced before by previous owner with some pretty terrible ones.

A bit later, the trouble started.

Return hose popped off under the car.
Blew out an FPR.
Return hose popped off at the fuel rail.
Blew out another FPR.

Checked the car out a few days ago and fuel pressure was super high. Found bits of rubber hose in the swirl pot under the pump pickup. Figured out that the return line venturi pump inside the gas tank is completely plugged.
