That's what i was saying. He's worried about it being expensive to fix, yet he wants to get an s54 car, which would be a similar price to fix if something went wrong.

you can get used s54s for less than 5k. an s14 rebuild + time can be 10k+

That's not taking into account Vanos issues and crank bearing issues and harmonic damper issues...

Oh, and the rear subframe tearing off the floor...


Drove an e46 M3 recently and I was severely disappointed. Felt like a boat and the dbw sluggishness makes me wanna punch kittens.

Ah, and you still have e46 quality issues. Interior materials wear like shit, switch gear is meh, and the door handles feel like they're gonna snap off if you pull too hard.

yes i would agree with them feeling boat-like. They are very heavy, and it becomes quite apparent around corners and accelerating.

yes they are an amazing drive. very fast and quick over all. But i would still say they feel heavy and boat like. All to their own.
