yeah.. mtech is hard! I lucked out and got a car with the bumpers already on it, but it took me more than a year to find everything for the last e30 I had.

Yeah, you're essentially getting new seats. I'd be getting 20+ year old seats with stains and cig holes.. A lot of stuff I don't want to know about could have happened in those seats over the past years also.. lol

$500 for trophys that's aren't absolutely mint is too much for me. I'm sure someone will pay it, but I won't go over $300 for trophys.

LOL I have seen $300 trophys, good luck man. You haven't been in the Recaro market long I can tell, trophy is basically a Recaro LSB, which is one of the most desireable NLA Recaro seats. I sold a set with horrible cloth that were unusable, went for $400 no problem. Just a heads up, I have these trophy on CL for $600, looks like they will sell by this weekend. Thanks

I've been looking at trophys for well over a year now, and have seen at least a dozen sets in good cond for $300. They seem to be plentiful on vwvortex, just normally wrong coast. If I had the money I would've had a set already.

$600 for those seats is a lot. So props to you for selling them for that, and as well to whoever has the money for them.

I transferred my set from the six to the e30 last weekend... haven't seen another set pretty much ever.

mcinnabon: trophys are the vw corduroy-ish seats? Those are real nice, the bolsters are gigantic.

i think it's a good idea for you to buy it and get rid of your e46 (assuming that both cars satisfy the requirement of "fun sedan"- if you have other requirements, idk what they are).

even with high mileage, it has a chance of gaining value, unlike the newer car, which will only continue to depreciate.

lawl. Not selling any cars. 330 is a much better dd. E28M gets like 12mpg city 22 highway, will break and require expensive maintenance and still has no torque.

As far as I know the trophys are what the mkII gti vw came with. They came in many different colors/trim. Black and grey like golde30 has, helios (diff colors), and light bkuish grey and darkish grey. I mean look at these things in an e30. They are perfect...I think this may be jandersons e30? Or Jean's? Idk, who cares. They are sick.
