Make that 8+ P51s, a Yak 9, FM2 Wildcat, a Douglas A26 Invader, a DC4, 5 Thunder Mustangs (3/4 scale P51s that use a Falconer V12, they sound just like the real deal, but 3/4 sound. They are pretty fast.) 7+ North American AT6/SNJ/Harvards a B25, and you never know what else will show up.

Its a good gathering and I think its free to get in. There is always some cool stuff that shows up. There is a decent chance that the winner of the Reno Air Races will show up as well since its based over in Davis. You also don't really need to get there super early. I'll likely show up between 11 and noon.

Its not technically an airshow, its a fly in. The airport is always open. There will likely be rides in an N3N and a Twin Beech.

Over the weekend there were two great shows, one at Paso Robles, and one at Mather AFB in Sac. No military presence but that just draws all the warbirds out. Seriously I don't care if there are no modern jets, they are boring. I'll take big supercharged V12s and 18 cylinder radials any day of the week.
