advice from a former vet- enlisted have more respect for active-duty officers than we do for ROTC guys. go for the AF Academy if you can, or just finish enough credits in school so you can go to whatever their version of Officer Basic is.

i wanted to be an AF pararescue or door gunner, badly. but turns out i'm slightly colorblind, so they wouldn't even put me on a bird of any kind. tried to steer me towards their security forces, and i said "no thanks, I'll just go to the Army and do that for real..."

anyway Steven seems like he's got his head on straight to me. not out of high school yet, still making his own money and has a good life plan. that's kind of in stark comparison to most of the teenage fuckwits you see these days.

In other news, I'm putting on camber plates today. What setting should they be on when I put them in?

I found it really hard to break traction too; I purposely had to take above 5k RPMs and really twist on the wheel for me to finally get some sort of breakage on 195s. I would be able to lose traction around 4k before without much effort in steering input, so even a slight increase in sway bars size were a big deal

Me and a couple of guys found an empty lot at the train yard around 4 last night and we just had at it. Pretty sick

if you have to do a clutch-dump at full lock to break traction on 195s, you have no place questioning the validity of anyone else's man card.

You assume: I never said I clutch dumped, nor was I at full lock.

Frankly; knowing how to correctly drift now, I hate clutch dumping.. If I'm going to get sideways, I'm going to do it with the most minimal damage to my drivetrain/clutch as possible

                        But, semantics

Secondly; I think it was established I was only jokingly telling Steven I disagreed with his tire choices. I meant no offense in it; just stating my opinion

It's dumb to buy a 9" wheel and stick a 6.5" tire on it. Stance kiddies have made it "cool", but to the sensible world, it's dumb.

forgive me for being so uncultured as to misunderstand the difference between

                          "engagement at 5k rpm"

                          and

                          "clutch dump"

on an engine with a redline of less than 7k rpm

                          my bad

you and steven are both running shitty all-seasons so i don't see the point in your talking shit about his tires- 195s are 195s no matter what size wheel they're on

                            Lol @ correctly drift.

                            What is correctly drifting?

Over steer is drifting, but drifting is not just defined by over steer.

I feel like correctly drifting is on the track, in tandems, and being able to keep up on the guy in front of you, while making your chaotic sideways driving as smooth as possible.

And the most important part is to have a fat grin on your face the entire time, having fun with your friends and fellow drivers, and keeping that smile even after you wreck your shit into a k-wall or someone in an s chassis nissan.

The problem is, I'm running a 6.5" wheel with 195 (correct) and he is running a 9" one with 195 (trendy hipster stance crap)

You're crapping on me because I haven't invested the money in wheels and bigger tires? I'm sorry for my peasantry, your highness; I'll go take my life somewhere else

I"m pretty sure decay has no problems breaking traction with his M42, you should read about his build some time.

I feel lots of inability to react to criticism coming from many corners of the board.
