V - Oil is forced to the outside of the oil filter and then passes through the filter media towards the center.


I think there is also a valve after the oil pump that only allows oil to pass once it reaches a specific pressure. Dont quote me on that , but if there is a valve of this nature (which many engines have) then it makes sense to check / replace that valve as well. I may never be opening.

Already replaced that valve. I poured it through the center and started it…still nothing. Gonna pour it while cranking tomorrow but for now I have a paper to write and I can't work on it. Bimmerfest is coming up fast...

I also was not making this a competition. I was simply stating whatever you are running is too soft. Especially if you are preparing to turn in your man card by running 195 on a 9" wheel. ;)

Buuttt I'm at 700lb rear spring in the rear, but I also have a sedan which is lighter than a vert.

750lb rear. And have you ever felt JOM front? My front barely goes down 1/4 through pushing up and down on it. About the same stiffness of my rear id say. Ask Herb he just rode in it tonight. 205 on a 9" but oh well. Not here to please everyone.

MSF class:
the instructors were polite, kind, clear, etc. the class wasnt easy nor was it hard. it was laid out well and i feel scared as s*** to hit the road on a real bike.

I remember riding in traffic for the first time I felt the same way. It felt so weird not having a car body around you while next to other cars.

i'm pretty sure i can find some ghetto shop in oakland that won't care about the dbilas setup, but really i'd like to have an engine that will just pass because it's legal, and i can stick the ITB'd m42 into an exempt zooz for the gf to drive.
